Winona Barbosa

Alabama – Winona (Sylvia) Barbosa, age 96, formerly of New Bedford, MA passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024 in Alabama.

 Winona was born in New Bedford, Ma and was the beloved daughter of the late Alfred A. Sylvia and Virginia (Grace) Sylvia.

 She is survived by her sons, Antonio, Ernest and Paul Barbosa, 14 grandchildren,11 great-grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

 Winona was also the mother of the late Eileen Lema.

Her visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Perry Funeral Home from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Burial will immediately follow in St. John Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford.
