Thomas Ferreira

New Bedford – Thomas Edward Ferreira, age 78, of Dartmouth, MA passed away on July 23, 2023 at St. Luke's Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Cynthia (Ponte) Ferreira.

He was born in Fall River, MA to the late Joseph L. Ferreira and Margaret C. (Correia) Ferreira. Thomas had served in the United States Army and later went on be the owner and salesman of Ferrine’s Auto Sales & Service, where he took care of many customers throughout the years. He loved fishing, motorcycles and antique cars but above all he loved his family and many friends. He was also proud to be a godfather and loving uncle. His presence will be missed by many. 

Thomas is survived by his wife, Cynthia Ferreira; his sons, Thomas E. Ferreira Jr., Ronald Gobeil Jr.and his fiancé Sherry Bettencourt, Jesse Ferreira and William Ferreira; his daughters, Tina Gobeil and Tricia Arruda and her husband Jeffrey Moniz; his brother, Raymond Ferreira and his godsons, Eric Wagner and Dan Wagner; his goddaughter goddaughter Brenda Ferreira Peter; as well as 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his late son, Richard Ferreira, his late twin brother, Edward Ferreira and his late sister, Dorothy Enloe.

A celebration of his life will take place August 12th from 1:00PM to 4:00PM at Perry Funeral Home.
