Rose M. (Moniz) Botelho, born in Dartmouth, MA, passed away at the age of 92 on Friday, March 28, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of the late Manuel Moniz and Mary (Medeiros) Moniz. She was the beloved wife of the late William Botelho.

Rose had a zest for life and was known for her kind heart and warm spirit. She enjoyed many hobbies that brought joy to her life and the lives of those around her. An avid bowler, Rose looked forward to her weekly outings. Shopping was another passion of hers, and she loved keeping up with the latest fashions, always striving to look her best. Her keen sense of style made her a true fashionista who could often be found picking out the perfect outfit and getting her nails done.

In addition to her love for fashion, Rose had a deep love for baking. Her warmth and generosity made her a beloved presence in the lives of those who knew her. Rose's loving nature and ability to make everyone feel special will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Rose is survived by her loving children, Deborah (Botelho) Boudreau of South Dartmouth, Ma, William Botelho Jr. and his wife Deborah Botelho of Wareham, MA, Robert Botelho and his wife Lori Botelho of Zephyrhills, FL, James Botelho and his wife Tracy Botelho of Dedham, MA; her 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Rose was predeceased by her daughter the late Elizabeth Norton; her siblings the late  Anna Ocenas, Emily Steele, Lorraine Szyndlar, Virginia Botelho, Frank Moniz, Evelyn Payne, Mary Taylor, and Manuel Moniz.

Rose’s visiting hours will be held Friday, April 4, 2025 at Perry Funeral Home from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. All friends and family are welcomed.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9am and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Mary’s in South Dartmouth at 10 am. Burial will immediately follow in Saint John’s Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford, Ma.
