Rosa Adorno-Ortiz Ramos

New Bedford - Rosa Adorno – Ortiz, age 53, of New Bedford passed away on Saturday June 8, 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Saturnina Ortiz and the late Virgilio Adorno. 

Rosa moved to the United States in the 2000's where she then began working in numerous factories. Rosa was a very humble and virtuous woman who loved God above all things. She was family oriented, loved spending as much time as she could with her children and grandchildren. She could always be found helping those in need & praying for the sick. 

She enjoyed flowers, nature, going shopping, watching the sun set, going on long car rides to the beach or how she would call it " seeing new things ". Rosa was a very positive person. She was known for having a " signature hug "and an unbreakable faith.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her 6 children, Jenices, Katiria, Herimar, Jean Carlos, Angelica, Joshua and their spouses. Also survived by her 10 grandchildren, 7 siblings, and their spouses, numerous aunts and uncles, nephews and nieces and cousins. 

Rosa is preceded in death by one of her granddaughters, Nova Rose, 2 brothers and her father.

Rosa’s visiting hours and funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Perry Funeral Home. Visiting hours will take place from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. with a service to begin at 12:00 P.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford.
