Ronald Moniz

New Bedford – Ronald Moniz, age 81, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Sharon Miller Moniz of New Bedford. 

Ronald was born in New Bedford, Ma to the late Manuel Moniz and Emily Simmons (Souza). Ronald devoted over 40 years of his life as a loyal serviceman for AmeriGas Propane Company, where he was known for his work ethic and dedication. 

He had a true love for technology, Ronald found joy in building and working on computers, always staying up-to-date with the latest innovations. Outside of his professional life, he cherished his time with family, especially on vacations to new and exciting destinations, and most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Ronald’s kindness, enthusiasm for life, and unwavering devotion to his loved ones will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Miller Moniz; his children, Darlene Moniz Medeiros and her husband David, Rhonda Moniz, John Moniz and his wife Martha, Jennifer Quintin Pereira and her husband Michael and Jason Quintin and his wife Becky; his siblings, Michael, Mark, and Paul Simmons, and Pauline Simmons Solaris; his 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; as well as 7 nieces and nephews.

He was also the brother of the late Christine Monty Gallagher.
