Robert M. Lima

New Bedford- Robert M. Lima, Age 91 passed away peacefully June 8, 2024. He was the loving husband of Edith A. Lima for 67 years until her passing in 2022.

Bob worked at the Maritime Terminal until his retirement 25 years ago. Bob was a loving, caring, and generous man who will be greatly missed by his family whose life’s he greatly touched. Bob’s passions were family times, cookouts, sitting by the pool and listening to his favorite music. He simply lived life “his way.”

Bob is survived by his son Robert W. Lima and his wife Debra, his daughter Sandra Gomes and her husband Richard, Granddaughter Laurie, his Grandsons the late Bobby Lima, Alex and D.J. Gomes as well as seven Great Grandchildren.

Our life’s will go on without you But, nothing will ever be the same We’ll have to hide our heartache When someone speaks your name

Sad are the hearts that love you Silent are the tears that fall Living here without you Will be the hardest part of all.Those special years will not return When we were all together But with love in our hearts You’ll walk with us forever.

Our family would like to express our heartfelt thank you to the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home for the wonderful care extended to him.

The graveside service will be private.
