Nuno Oliveira

New Bedford – Nuno Oliveira, age 76, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Duarte) Oliveira.

Nuno was born in Nordeste, Sao Miguel, Azores to the late Antonio Oliveira and Deolinda (Lino) Oliveira. He had worked for Freitas Package Store over the years. He enjoyed watching soccer, especially his favorite team, Benfica as well as gardening. He loved spending time with his family.

Nuno is survived by his wife, Maria Oliveira; his sons, George R. Oliveira, and Christopher D. Oliveira and his domestic partner Jennifer Martins, along with her daughter Paige Martins, whom Nuno loved and considered, as a granddaughter of his own ; his siblings, Zelia Farias and Zoraida Oliveira; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his late brother, Antonio F. Oliveira.

Nuno’s visiting hours will be held at Perry Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. His funeral will take place on Thursday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
