Nelson Couto

Fairhaven – Nelson Couto, age 54, of Fairhaven, MA passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth (Rafael) Couto.

Nelson was born in New Bedford, MA to Gloria (Vieira) Couto and Jose Do Couto. He had worked at International Seafood as a Seafood Processor.

Nelson is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Couto; his children, Zachary E. Couto and his partner Paige Soares, Olivia F. Couto and Noah R. Couto; his grandchildren, Peighton and Brady Couto; his brother, Steve Couto and his wife Milena; his sister, Sherry Goncalo and her husband Fernando; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Nelson’s visiting hours and funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 8:00 A.M. – 9:30 A.M. and followed by a Mass at St. Mary’s Church South Dartmouth at 10:00 A.M. Cremation to follow.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford MA.
