Neil James Sullivan

New Bedford – Neil James Sullivan, age 48, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024 with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Melissa (Linhares) Sullivan.

He was born in New Bedford, MA and was the beloved son of Sandra K. (Lima) Sullivan and the late Hebert A. Sullivan. Neil had worked as a foreman for Care Free Homes for many years.

Neil is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Sullivan, 4 Children, Kylie Linhares, Benjamin Cabral Jr., Colbey Sullivan and Kaitlynn Sullivan, also his 6 Grandchildren, Ava Bento-Cabral, Jayel Duarte, Benjamin Cabral III, David Duarte, Nehemiah Duarte and Penelope Sullivan; his Siblings, Paul Sullivan, Leo Sullivan, Patricia Sullivan and Martha Sullivan; his Mother-In-Law, Joanne Sardinha; Brother-In-Law, Kenneth Linhares Jr.; Son-In-Laws David Duarte and Maxwell Silva and Daughter-In-Laws, Xiara Leiva and Gina Lucas. 

He loved spending time with his Wife, Dog Luna and his Family. He loved Fishing, Golfing and Working. 

He was an Amazing Husband, Father, Papa and Friend and always made sure he took care of his Family even before himself. He was Selfless and kind and touched so many lives of the people who knew him. He was cherished by his Family and will be Forever Loved and Missed!! 

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Neil’s Life will be held with his cremains at Perry Funeral Home on Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. with a service to take place during this time.
