Natalie M. Faris

New Bedford-Natalie Mendonsa Faris, 85 years old of New Bedford, passed away in the comfort of home on September 24, 2023 following a courageous battle with severe peritonitis diverticulitis. 

Natalie was born in Fall River to parents John and Mary Mendonsa and leaves behind her devoted caregiving Life Partner of 23 years, Rick Marshall, as well as four loving sons, George J. Faris of Atlanta, GA, Jeffrey J. Faris of Ossipee, NH, Gregory J. Faris of Tiverton; Joseph J. Faris of Westport; and ten grandchildren.  She was married to George A. Faris, now of Florida, for 40 years.

Considered a beautiful person “in and out” by all who love her, Natalie will be remembered as a most considerate, courteous, and accommodating person who brightened the lives of friends and coworkers alike.  She truly possessed a unique quality of “specialness” which endeared her to everyone who met or engaged her.  The good feelings, joyfulness, and karma she radiated will stay with us forever.  Thank You, NATALIE!

For over 14 years and up to her illness, Natalie was the highly-trusted and invaluable Accountant/Bookkeeper serving five Presidents at the New Bedford Educators Association.  Her career also included decades of private practice as a Business Bookkeeper and Income Tax Professional for various clients… many of whom became long-term friends.  Natalie graduated from Durfee High School and Kinyon-Campbell Business School as well as completed numerous university advanced accounting courses.

Natalie’s visiting hours will be on Thursday September 28 from 5-8 P.M.. Her funeral will be on Friday at the Funeral Home for 10 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St Julies Church at 11 A.M. Cremation to follow after Church Service.
