Mirita Maldonado

Fall River – Mirita (Jorge) Maldonado, age 85, of Fall River, MA passed away at home on Saturday, September 21, 2024 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved widow to the late Jose Maldonado Sr.

Mirita was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico and was the daughter of the late Jovita (Rodriguez) Jorge & Juanito Jorge. She had been a loving homemaker to her family over the years.

She is survived by her children, Roger Maldonado and his wife Evelyn, Melinda Menard and her partner Matt Silva, Linda and her husband Ron Racine, Jose Jr. and his wife Brandy Maldonado; grandchildren, Jose III, Edward, Gina, Tina Maldonado, Michael Amado, Albert, Charlene Menard, Victoria Maldonado, Damien Maldonado, Madison Maldonado, Emily Maldonado and Tiara Maldonado; as well as several great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was also predeceased by her sisters, Margarita Alejandro, Maria Velazquez and Anita Acevedo and her brothers, Santiago Jorge and Rosendo Jorge; as well as 3 predeceased sons, David, Edward and Matthew Maldonado.

Mirita’s visiting hours and funeral services will take place on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Perry Funeral Home. Her visiting hours will be held from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. with a service to take place at 12:00 P.M. Burial will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in New Bedford.
