Michael J. Viveiros

New Bedford – Michael J. Viveiros, age 69, of Fairhaven, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Michael was born in New Bedford, MA to the late John Viveiros and Priscilla (Soares) Viveiros. He attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel School, Voc Tech and Cape Cod College. He went on to work as a dietetic service supervisor for Bristol Nursing Home later to be called Bedford Village for 38 years. He also worked as a bus driver and then worked security for Titleist.

He is survived by his 20-year partner, Cindy L. Avila; daughter, Michelle Viveiros; son, Mark Viveiros and his wife Tanya Viveiros; other children, Kristi and her husband Jesus, Raquel and her husband John, Ralphy and Jordan and his wife Deion; his brother, Mark Viveiros and his wife Donna E. Viveiros; cousin, Val and her husband Kevin and his cousin, Gina and her husband Jim; godfather, Ed Rodrigues; nephew, Ryan Viveiros and his wife Jess Viveiros and nephew, Nick Spiliotis; as well as 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many cousins and great-cousins.

Private funeral arrangements are entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford.
