May I. Menard

New Bedford, MA – May I. (Marlowe) Menard, age 77, of New Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Hathaway Manor. She was the beloved wife of the late Gerard Menard and former wife of the late Bob Simmons. 

May was born in was born in New Bedford, MA to the late Frances Marlowe and Angelina (Dutra) Marlowe. She had been a bartender at the Centro Luzo Club and the Mickiewicz Club in New Bedford.

She is survived by her 2 daughters, Sherry Castillo and Marjorie Santos; her son, Marc Marlowe; her sisters, Margaret Marlowe, Judith Sabino, Francis De Souza and Marilyn Newitt; her brothers, Kenneth Marlowe and Frances Marlowe; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was also the mother of the late Scott Marlowe and sister of the late Joyce Aguiar and Nelson Marlowe. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Kenneth Marlowe or to the funeral home.
