Maria Rosario

Fall River – Maria Fatima (Rosa) Rosario, age 70, of New Bedford, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Charlton Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Norberto Rosario.

Maria was born in Faial, Azores to the late Jose Rosa and Baldina (Garcia) Rosa. She had worked as a seamstress for several clothing manufacturers in the area.

She is survived by her husband, Norberto Rosario; her daughter Sandy Medeiros and her husband Nathan; Sister in laws and Brother in laws; her grandchild Presley Medeiros; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Maria was predeceased by her son Brian Rosario; and her siblings Jose Norberto Rosa, and Maria Conceicao Ventura.

Maria’s visiting hours will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Perry Funeral Home from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Her funeral will take place Monday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. and followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in St. John Cemetery.
