Maria Rivera Martinez

New Bedford – Maria E. Rivera Martinez, age 68, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Rafael Trinidad.

She was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to the late Emilio Rivera and Herminia Rivera Martinez. Maria had been a loving homemaker to her family over the years. 

Maria is survived by her children, Rafael Trinidad, Rigoberto Trinidad and Jonas Trinidad; her siblings, Jose Rivera, Maria Milagros Marcial, Maria Magdalena Rivera, Jose Alberto Rivera, Carmen Rosa Nieves, Hector Angel Rivera, Emilio Rivera and Julio Rivera; as well as several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was also the grandmother of the late Jonas Trinidad.

Maria’s visiting hours and funeral service will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 at Perry Funeral Home. Her visiting hours will take place in the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. -11:30 P.M. with a funeral service to begin at 11:30 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
