Maria A. Correia

New Bedford – Maria Alda (Goncalves) Correia, age 85, of New Bedford, passed away at Sacred Heart Home on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Jose Correia

 Maria was born in Horta, Fayal, Azores to the late Francisco Gonsalves and Maria L. Gonsalves. She had worked as a Floor Lady for the company Judy Kay Sportwear.

 She is survived by her Godchildren, Ilda Pacheco, Sonia Pacheco and Kylene Pacheco. 

 Maria’s funeral service and burial of ashes will be held on Tuesday September 24, 2024. There will be a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in New Bedford. Followed by a burial of ashes in Rural Cemetery.
