Manuel H. Sousa

Dartmouth – Manuel H. Sousa, age 95, of Dartmouth, MA passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Maria Lourdes (Cunha) Sousa.

Manuel was born in Agua de Pau, Sao Miguel, Azores to the late Virginio Sousa and Ernestina (Barranqueira) Sousa. He had worked as a painter for many years.

Manuel is survived by his son, Mario Sousa and his wife Jackie Sousa of Rochester; son, Joe Sousa and his wife Melissa Sousa of Dartmouth and daughter, Sandra Sousa and her partner Jeff Oliveira of Dartmouth; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his late grandchild, Frankie Pinho.

Manuel’s Mass with his ashes present will take place on Friday January 24, 2025 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:00 A.M located at 230 Bonney Street New Bedford, MA 02744.  Everyone is asked to meet directly at Church.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford.
