Manuel Pedro Camara

New Bedford – Manuel Camara, age 79, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at St Luke’s Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of the late Maria (Aguiar) Camara, who passed away on May 12, 2023. He was born in Sao Miguel, Azores to the late Maria Merces (Correia) Camara and the late Jose de Medeiros Camara.

Manuel is survived by his son, Emanuel Camara and his wife Mary, grandchildren, Madison Camara and Finn Smith, brother Joseph R. Camara and his wife Ana and his sister Madalene Aguiar and her husband Jose as well as several nieces and nephews. Manuel was the brother of the late Teresa Oliveira.

Manuel enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, spending time with his family, and taking his annual trip to Sao Miguel with his wife.

Manuel’s visiting hours will be held at Perry Funeral Home on Monday November 4, 2024 from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Funeral will be on Tuesday at the Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow at Rural Cemetery.
