New Bedford – Lyvonne Douglas, born on July 5, 1989, was the cherished daughter of Pamela Douglas and Jerome Dobson.

Raised in New Bedford, Massachusetts, she was cared for by her grandmother, Mary Lou Taylor, with the unwavering support of her paternal grandparents, Ruth and Charles Dobson of Bridgewater, MA. Lyvonne has now been reunited in Heaven with her Grandmother Mary Lou, father Jerome, and her uncles Phil, Keith and Toby.

Lyvonne leaves behind her mother, Pamela Douglas; her brothers, John, Anthony, and Jerome Douglas; and her sister, Angelica Douglas Maldonado. She is also survived by five nieces—Narae-Yah, Jayla, Ranasia, Ja’L, and MaeLynn—and five nephews—Jy’dell, Jadyn, Anthony, Amare, and Messiah. She adored her great-niece, Jae’cyani, and cherished the role of godmother to K’ymani and Marvin. Lyvonne shared a deep and special bond with her many cousins, several of whom she considered siblings, Kim, Tennisha, Rhana, Kendra, Kyle, and Chyenne. Lyvonne had a special love for both of her aunts, Maria Harris and Angela Green as well as her Uncle Kevin Dobson.

Known for her radiant smile that could light up any room, Lyvonne was an adventurer at heart. She had a profound love for her family and a passionate devotion to sports, particularly the Boston Celtics and the New England Patriots. Lyvonne treasured family gatherings and loved spending time with childhood friends.

Always committed to self-improvement, Lyvonne was proud of the personal growth she achieved throughout her life. Her infectious positivity and bright spirit touched everyone she encountered. Though she will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know her, her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her. As the days unfold, Lyvonne's light continues to shine, guiding and inspiring all those whose lives she touched
