Kenneth David Sasseville

New Bedford – Kenneth David Sasseville, age 74, of New Bedford, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 11, 2024.

Kenneth was born in Acushnet, MA to the late Joseph A. Sasseville and the late Rose May (Laranjo) Smith. He had served in the U.S. Coast Guard and later went on to work as Lieutenant for the City of New Bedford Fire Department.

In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, reading, bowling, Star Trek and collecting various items.

Kenneth is survived by his daughters, Dawn Audette, AnnMarie King, Kimberly Sylvia, Kendra Markos, Jessica Schmidt, Rebecca Tinkham and Shelby-Morgan; his sons, Kassidy Sasseville, Eli Sasseville a Marine, Robert Sasseville; his brother, Ray Sasseville; his sisters, Donna Burden and Brenda Miller, both of Alabama; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Kenneth’s visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Perry Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. His funeral service will take place on Friday in the funeral home, beginning at 11:00 A.M. and with a service to begin at 12:00 P.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
