Joyce E. Cote

New Bedford – Joyce E. Cote, age 74, of New Bedford, passed away at her home on Saturday, September 28, 2024, after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her life partner, Michael Boucher.

Joyce was born in New Bedford, MA, to the late Theodore Cote and Evelyn (Viera) Cote. She recently retired from Attentive Home Care. Throughout her years working in home care, Joyce developed many great friendships with her field staff, which she cherished.

Joyce loved seafood, drinking a cold Bud Light while engaging in spirited political debate, and researching religious history. She also enjoyed spending time with her close friends, the late Crabby Patty, Susie, Linda, Louise, and Marlene. While Joyce liked traveling to Mexico with her friends and family, she seemed happiest on her way to the Dollar Tree and The Christmas Tree Shop.

She is survived by her daughters, Christina and Cynthia; her husband, Robert; her grandchildren, Mariah, Gerard, and Bree; her husband, James and Ashlee; and her partner, Desmond.

Private funeral arrangements are entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford.
