New Bedford — Jonathan Macomber, age 39, of Fall River, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 12. Born in Fall River, MA and a former resident of Dartmouth and Taunton, Jon was the loving son of Paula (Furtado) Bettencourt and John Macomber.
He worked as a Floor Manager in the restaurant industry, where he was very well-respected and amassed dozens of friends. A man of many passions, Jonathan loved art, drawing, and music, but his greatest love in life was his sons, Cayden and Jacob. He adored them and cherished the time he spent with them, whether traveling to New Hampshire together, going to the movies, going on outdoor adventures, or just playing video games together at home.
Jonathan is survived by his loving family, including his sons Cayden and Jacob, his mother Paula and stepfather Steven, his father John and his wife Patricia, his twin sister Jaime, his older sister Melanie, and his nieces and nephews Jillian, Falon, Joshua and Aiden. He also leaves behind his dear grandmother Florence Grace, as well as several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jon will be sorely missed by his family and extensive group of friends. He had a great heart and always put the people he loved first, and he had a natural ability to cheer up his loved ones when they were down. He had a sharp and quick wit, a uniquely creative mind, and a deeply protective spirit. He brought passion and energy to everything he did in life, and he always treated his family, friends, and coworkers with kindness and respect.
A memorial visitation will be held for Jonathan on Monday, November 18, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Perry Funeral Home, with a service to take place at 6:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
