Jesus Steve Chaffino

Providence, RI - Jesus Steve Chaffino, 74, of East Providence, RI passed away on January 3, 2025 at Rhode Island Hospital with his loving daughter by his side.

Born in Stockton, CA he relocated to New Bedford, MA, after marrying his wife, Joanne.

He was employed by Chamberlains for 10 years, followed by 31 years at Shaw’s Supermarket until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, watching Sci-Fi and western shows/movies, as well as watching The History channel. He also found joy with spending time with his family pets.

Jesus Chaffino is survived by his wife of 45 years, Joanne M. Chaffino, and three children: their daughter Jessica Rose Sakellaropoulos and her husband of North Dartmouth, MA; a daughter Maria Estes and her husband of Jackson Gap, AL; and a son Jesse Chaffino and his wife, of Long Beach, CA. Also survived by multiple brothers and sisters, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

His funeral services were held privately. 

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford.
