Ilda Maria Botelho

New Bedford – Ilda Maria (Sousa) Botelho, age 82, of New Bedford, MA, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Jose David Botelho. 

Ilda was born in St. Michael, Azores and was the daughter of the late Manuel Sousa and Julia (Pacheco) Sousa. She had been a loving homemaker to her family throughout the years. She was extremely family oriented, loved being a wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to laugh and most importantly cherished the times spent with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Jose Botelho; her son, John M. Botelho; grandson, Cavan Botelho; brother, Luis Sousa; sister, Lurdes Guilherme; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her late sister, Conceicao Borges.
