Elsie M. Louro

New Bedford – Elsie M. (Sylvia) Louro, age 90, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul D. Louro.

Elsie was born in New Bedford, MA and was the beloved daughter of the late Evelyn (Armory) Sylvia and Joseph A. Sylvia Jr. 

Elsie is survived by her loving children, Judy Louro, Jordan Louro and his wife Tammy, Jacqui Demers and her husband Alan, Joyce Hurson and her husband Steve and Jeffrey Louro and his wife Ann Louro. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Aaron Zexter, Justin Zexter, Brendon Zexter, Heather Zuber, Jocelyn Marshall, Olivia Williams, Andrew Garcia, Matthew Garcia, Kristen Friedel, Chelsey Abrahamsson, Jeannine Swanlund and Jeremey Louro; several great-grandchildren and her brother Joseph Sylvia and his wife Linda.

Elsie’s visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Perry Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Her funeral will take place on Wednesday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
