Elidia Tiburcio Silva

New Bedford – Elidia Tiburcio Silva, age 88, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth with her family by her side. She was the loved wife of the late Armenio DaSilva.

Elidia was born in Sao Miguel, Azores and was the beloved daughter of the late Maria (Sebastiao) Tiburcio and Joao Tiburcio. She had worked as a stitcher for several clothing manufacturers. She loved to cook and enjoyed nature, specifically trips to New Hampshire. Family was important to her, her grandkids always put a smile on her face and she was very giving and kind-hearted. 

Elidia is survived by her son, Daniel DaSilva; her daughter, Katarina Serpa; 2 grandchildren, Jordyn Serpa and Zaria Anderson; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was the sister of the late Joao, Egidio, Ester, Delfina, Irondina, Lupercia and Maria.

Elidia’s visiting hours and funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2024. Visiting hours will be held at Perry Funeral Home from 1:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. with a service during the visiting hours. Cremation will take place after service.
