Eduardo C. Teves

New Bedford – Eduardo Teves, age 78, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025 at home with his family by his side. He was the loved husband of Zelia (Ribeiro) Teves of New Bedford. Eduardo & his beautiful wife just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary just a few weeks ago.

Born in Agua de Pau, Acores & served in the Portuguese army before coming to the United States as a young man, he was the beloved son of the late Sofia (Morgado) Teves and Jose daCosta Teves. Eduardo was a hardworking man all of his life. He was a mechanic at Hathaway manufacturing and finished his working career at Star plating in New Bedford. When he wasn’t working on making his back yard beautiful & fixing his grape vine or spending time with his family, he was watching The Three Stooges with a tooth pick in his mouth. & most of all spending time with his fur babies Brooklyn, Remy & Sheeba. Eduardo was a beloved husband, father & grandfather.

Eduardo is survived by his wife Zeila Teves, his son Eduardo Teves & His fiancé Caitlynn Cole, his son Philip Teves & His Only Daughter Christine Ribeiro Teves. & His Two granddaughters Savannah Teves & Aliviah Cole all of New Bedford. Eduardo was one of ten brothers & two sisters. & Many living family members residing throughout the south coast & the Acores.

Visiting hours will take place on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Perry Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. His funeral will take place on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, beginning in the funeral home at 8:45 A.M., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in River Side Cemetery.
