Edgardo Barbosa

North Dartmouth – Edgardo M. Barbosa, age 84, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Gabriela M. (Moniz) Barbosa of Dartmouth.

Edgardo was born in Ponta Garcia, Sao Miguel, Azores to the late Ernestina (Botelho) Barbosa and Armando Barbosa. Served his country in Guine, was a police officer in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel, worked for Dartmouth Finishing as a color mixer and became a proud U.S. Citizen. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, celebrating holidays, taking walks and spending his days with his dogs Jaguar, Luna and Ezra, Edgardo had a loving heart,always thinking of others and making everyone around him smile. 

Edgardo is survived by his daughters, Sherry M. Barbosa -Melo and her husband Antonio M. Melo and Michelle M. Barbosa. Grandchildren, Alexander Melo and Gabrielle Melo. He was also the loving brother to 15 siblings and a friend to many.

His visiting hours will be held at Perry Funeral Home on Thursday, November 21, from 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 11:30 A.M. Burial will immediately follow at St. Marys Cemetery.
