Donna Raposo (Rumney)

New Bedford – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Donna Raposo (Rumney), 76, of New Bedford, Ma, whom passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025 peacefully at home with her beloved daughters by her side.

Born in New Bedford, MA she was the beloved daughter of Donald Rumney and Christine Bontell.

Donna was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend. Donna worked at St Luke’s Hospital as a pediatric nurse for 50 years, where she touched countless lives. She was best known for her strength and positive outlook on life. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends as well as gardening.

Donna is survived by her children, Jillian and Leigh, son in law Carlos and her grandchildren Jaelyn, Kaylee, Aubrey and Mya. A memorial service will be held at a later date in memory of Donna’s life.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Jude in Donna’s memory.
