Donald B. Collet

Dartmouth – Donald B. Collet, age 90, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth. He was the beloved husband of the late Agnes (Sylvia) Collet.

Donald was born in Nantucket, MA and was the beloved son of the late Charles Robert Collet and Loretta (Horsfall) Collet. He had served in the United States Navy and later went on to work for Teledyne Rodney Metals as a foreman for over thirty years.

Donald is survived by his 3 daughters, Annmarie Collet and her significant other, Michael Bobb, Jeanne Martins and her husband John Martins, and Donna Smith; 2 sons, Michael Collet and James Collet and his wife Cheryl Collet. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Gator Collet, Jacqueline Collet, Jaimie Collet, Alissa Rodrigues, Robert Allen, Jack Martins, and Benjamin Martins and his great-grandchildren, Arianna, Colin and Valencia. 

The family would like to thank Brandon Woods of Dartmouth for the excellent care that they provided for Donald over the last three years. Donald always talked about how he loved being there. He enjoyed all the kindness that the staff showed him on a daily basis. 

Donald’s visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Perry Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. His funeral will take place Friday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in St. John Cemetery.
