David M. Richard

New Bedford, MA – David M. Richard, age 45, of New Bedford, MA passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital with his loving family by his side on Saturday, June 1, 2024.  

David was born in New Bedford, MA and was the beloved son of Helen (Furtado) Richard and Paul E. Richard. He was an avid sports fan, and his favorite teams were the New York Yankees, New York Giants, Boston Celtics and Toronto Maple Leafs.

David is survived by his mother, Helen Richard, father Paul E. Richard, sister, Lisa Medeiros and her husband Mark, nieces, Tara Valente and Paige Medeiros, great nephew Benjamin Valente, and godparents, Conrad Richard and Rochelle Gendron. He was the grandson of the late Ernest and Doris Richard and Manuel and Mary Furtado, late uncles, Gerard Richard and Mario and James Furtado. 

Funeral arrangements are private and were entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford.
