Connie Goulart

February 8, 1946 — March 27, 2025

New Bedford, Ma

New Bedford, MA – It is with both sadness and peace in our hearts, that on the morning of March 27, 2025, Connie Goulart age 79, of New Bedford, MA passed away at Scared Heart Nursing Home.

Connie was born in Pico, Azores before emigrating to the United States. She was the beloved daughter of the late Jose and Mariana (Costa) Avila. She lived and worked at Tilton Pearson in the U.S. for over 20 years, before moving to Canada, where she worked at IMS for the next 20 years and then returned back home for the last 14 years to be around her family and loved ones.

Connie was a loyal and loving person with a very guarded personality. She chose to live a simple and uncomplicated life, while always doing things “her way.” She had a very dry, but truly funny sense of humor. She was a woman of few words and if you “got it” you were ok; if not, she was ok with that too!

Before her long period of declining health and battle with Alzheimer’s, Connie always enjoyed spending time with her family-especially imbibing on her chilled chardonnay. She truly was a fighter till the end until her passing. She will be loved and missed dearly.

Connie leaves behind her beloved sister, Manuela Nuno, her Nieces Lisa and Sandra, and extended family and friends.

May God rest her soul and keep her in the palm of His hand….in her words “AMEN”

Her visiting hours will be held on Monday, March 31, 2025 at Perry Funeral Home from 12:00 P.M. – 1:00 P.M. Burial will be private.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford.
