Connie Brum

New Bedford – Connie (Braga) Brum, age 71, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Joao Manuel Brum.

Connie was born in Nordeste, Sao Miguel, Azores to the late Armenia de Medeiros (Xavier) Braga and Manuel de Medeiros Braga Jr. She had worked as a seamstress for Riverbay Manufacturing and never missed a Saturday Bingo at Bishop Stang High School.

Connie is survived by her sons, Bobby Brum and his girlfriend Ana Leite of New Bedford and Gary Brum and his wife Jennifer Brum of New Bedford; grandchildren, Shawn Brum, Gary Brum Jr., Devin Brum, Nyla Brum and London Brum; siblings, Maria Deus Garzon and her husband Carlos of New Bedford and George Braga of New Bedford; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Fernanda P. Gonzalez.

Connie’s visiting hours will be held at Perry Funeral Home on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 1:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. with a service to be held during visiting hours. Cremation to follow.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford MA.
