Claudia Da Rosa

On Monday, July 31st, 2023, Claudia (Silva) DaRosa, 86, of New Bedford went home to be with the Lord after a brief illness, joining her late husband, Eduardo L. DaRosa of Faial, Azores.

She was born in Calheta de Nesquim, Pico, Azores to Manuel and Ines Silva, and came to the U.S. in 1967 with her husband and son.

Claudia worked many years as a seamstress in the United States and enjoyed cooking for family gatherings and spending time with those she loved.

She is survived by two sons: Gabriel F. DaRosa, and Nelson DaRosa and his wife Gabriela DaRosa, along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

She was predeceased by all of her siblings.

Claudia’s visiting hours will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023. at Perry Funeral  from 8:00 A.M. – 9:30 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
