Charles Rogers

Fall River – Charles Rogers, age 89, of Dartmouth, Massachusetts, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Charlton Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Natalie (Sylvia) Rogers.

Charles was born in Chicago, Illinois and was the son of the late Manuel J. Amaral and Estelle (Cambra) Amaral. He had proudly served in the United States Army and later went on to become the Proprietor of Dartmouth Awning Company until his retirement. He was affectionately known as the “Awning Man” throughout the community. Charles was a life long Bruins and Celtics fan. He also was an avid golfer during his lifetime.

Charles is survived by his children, Karen Ann Rocha and her husband Thomas of Dartmouth, Leslie Estelle Haaland and her husband Torleive of Dartmouth, JoAnne Botelho and her husband Wayne of Dartmouth, Charles Rogers Jr. of Dartmouth and John Anthony Rogers and his companion Kelley Mello of Dartmouth; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held privately.
