Celestina P. Francisco

New Bedford - Celestina P. (Baptista) Francisco, age 85, of New Bedford passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Vantage Health and Rehab of New Bedford with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Luis Pereira Francisco.

She was born in Figueira da Foz, Portugal and was the daughter of the late Domingos Baptista and Maria (Reboco) Baptista. Celestina had been a loving homemaker to her family over the years.

Celestina is survived by her son, Luis Francisco and his fiancé Deborah Booker; her daughter, Celestina Cravo and her husband Joao Cravo; her daughter, Jacqueline Francisco and her husband John Nelson; grandchildren, John Cravo, Nicole Francisco, Luis Cravo, Alex Francisco, Julia Francisco-Simoes, Christina Correia and Sarah Nelson; as well as her great-grandchildren, Liam, Declan, Wesley, Cora, Scarlett, Celeste and Chloe. She is also survived by her siblings, Rose Fernandes, Elvita Rocha, Mary Ellis, Connie Gonsalves, Domingos Baptista and Teresa Gilliland.

Celestina's visiting hours will be held with her cremains on Monday, March 10, 2025 at Perry Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. and followed by a Mass at St. Mary's Dartmouth. Burial will be private.
