Carlos Da Silva Vinagre

New Bedford – Carlos Da Silva Vinagre, age 90, of New Bedford, MA passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital on Sunday, September 22, 2024 with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Maria Helena (Goncalves) Vinagre.

Carlos was born in Monte, Murtosa, Portugal and was the beloved son of the late Fernando Pereira Vinagre and Maria Dos Anjos Da Silva. He had been a fisherman and had worked for many different fishing vessels over the years. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Helena Vinagre; his children, José Carlos Vinagre, Maria J. André and her husband Antonio André, Thomas Vinagre and his wife Rosa Vinagre, John Vinagre and Fred Vinagre and his wife Andrea Vinagre; grandchildren, Christine, Michael, Julia, Jeniffer, Tommy, Jonathan, Brooke, Andrew, Carlos and Filipe. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Sabria, Janessa, Samantha, Sidney, Sophia, Dean, Mia and Aliyah; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank granddaughter, Christine Vinagre for being there for him through his last moments, she was always willing to go above and beyond.

His visiting hours will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Perry Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. His funeral will take place on Friday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
