Alice Harrison

Fall River – Alice (Almeida) Harrison, age 96, of Dartmouth passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at the Catholic Memorial Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis A. Harrison.

Alice was born in New Bedford, MA to the late Joseph Almeida and Mary (Ponte) Almeida. She had been a Bank Manager at Merchants Bank and BayBank for many years.  In her retirement years, she loved to go ballroom and line dancing.

Alice is survived by her son, Dr. Brian Harrison and his wife Janet of Portsmouth, RI; the wife of her late nephew Joanne Almeida; her nephews, David Almeida and Robert Almeida and his wife Lori; and niece Jane and her husband Richard; as well as her great niece Janet Ponte and great nephews Gordon and Kenny Ponte.

She was predeceased by her niece Janice Duart and nephew Norman Almeida, whom she loved like her own children, her late brothers, Anibal Almeida and Joseph Almeida and her late sister Leontina Rego.

Alice’s visiting hours and funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. Visiting hours will be held at Perry Funeral Home from 8:30 A.M. – 9:30 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Julie Billiart Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in St. John Cemetery.
