Jose Vieira Jr.

New Bedford-Jose Vieira Jr. age 74 years died Sunday September 4th at home with his loved ones present. He was the beloved husband of Maria de Jesus (Medeiros) Vieira of New Bedford. He was the loved father of Mark Vieira of Acushnet, Durval Vieira of Wilmington, MA. and Lubelia Silva of New Bedford. Jose also has 4 brothers and a sister. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Vieira was a son of the late Senhorinha (Da Conceicao) and Jose Vieira. He was born in São Miguel Açores and has lived here since 1977. Jose was a Presser for the Cliftex Corporation until his retirement.

Mr. Vieira’s Funeral Mass will be Thursday at the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. at 9:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 5-8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
