Margaret P. Dutra

New Bedford – Margaret P. Dutra, 92, of Waterbury, Conn., formerly of New Bedford, died Tuesday, February 17, 2004, at Crescent Manor Nursing Home in Waterbury, Conn. She was the wife of the late Frank Dutra of New Bedford. Mrs. Dutra was the mother of Beverly Whitman of Bennington, Vermont. She was the sister of Miquelina “Mackie” Tavares of Waterbury, Conn. and Diamond Cummiskey of Fall River. Mrs. Dutra leaves behind 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, as well as several nieces and nephews

Mrs. Dutra was born in St. Michael, Azores, Portugal. She was the daughter of the late Francisco and Maria (Tavares) Pavao. Mrs. Dutra was a floor lady at M & S Dress Shop.

Her funeral will be Saturday, February 21, 2004, from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 A.M. at St. James Church, County St., New Bedford, MA. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday, February 20, 2004 from 6 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
