Jose Dealmeida

New Bedford – Jose DeAlmeida, 89, of N. Dartmouth, died Wednesday, February 18, 2004, at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the Husband of the late Silvina (Medeiros) DeAlmeida. Mr. DeAlmeida was the father of Jorge Adriano DeAlmeida of Mozambique, Africa, Carlos Alberto Almeida of North Dartmouth and a daughter Grace Monast of Warwick, R.I. He was the brother of Joao DeAlmeida of New Bedford and Fernanda Barroso of Fall River . He leaves behind 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews

Mr. DeAlmeida was born in Ponta delGada, Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal. He was the son of the late Jacintho and Alexandrina (Viveiros) DeAlmeida. Mr. DeAlmeida was a mechanic at International Dryer Corp.

His funeral will be Saturday, February 21, 2004, from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Rivet St. New Bedford, MA. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, New Bedford, MA. Family & friends are invited. Visiting hours will be Friday, February 20, 2004 from 7 - 9 P.M.
