Louis K. Simas

New Bedford – Louis K. Simas age 72 years died Thursday August 11th at home with his loving wife at his side.Lou had a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Edna (Francis) Simas of New Bedford He was loved father of the late David Simas who passed on December 6, 2007.

Mr. Simas was the son of the late Manuel and Mary De (Souza) Simas. He was born in New Bedford and was a lifelong resident. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Mr. Simas funeral will be Monday at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. at 7:45 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at Acushnet Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Sunday from 4-6 P.M.
