Mabel Freitas

New Bedford, MA.-Mabel (Ferreira) Freitas age 91years died August 7th at Alden Court Nursing and Rehab Facility. She was the wife of John Freitas and the widow of Albertine Moniz. Mabel was the loved mother of Richard Moniz, Janet Hatcher and Barbara Carreau all of New Bedford and Patricia Moniz of Hendersonville North Carolina, Mabel was the sister of Hilda Almeida of Cape Coral FL. She is also survived by 6 Grandchildren 9 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Nephews.

Mrs. Freitas was a daughter of the late Manuel J. and Adeline (Rogers) Ferreira. She was born in New Bedford and was a lifelong resident. She was a waitress working at local restaurants until she retired.

Mrs. Freitas’ Memorial services will be Friday at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 9:30 A.M... Services will commence at 10 A.M. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery; Visitation will be Thursday from 5- 8 P.M... Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
