Maria N. (Neto) Cordeiro

New Bedford - Maria N. (Neto) Cordeiro, 72, of New Bedford, died Friday, February 6, 2004, at home. She was the wife of Alfred P. Cordeiro. Mrs. Cordeiro was the stepmother of Alfred Cordeiro and Shirley McCarty both of California. She was the sister of Theofilo Raposo of New Bedford, Teresa Cordeiro of New Bedford, Augusto Raposo of Toronto,Canada, Margarida Nascimento of Brampton, Canada. Mrs. Cordeiro is also survived by two step grandchildren Briel Cordeiro and Sheri Dorloz, two step great grandchildren as well as several niceces, nephews and godchildren.

Mrs. Cordeiro was born in Povocao, St. Michael, Azores, Portugal, the daughter of the late Manuel Raposo and Maria C. (Raposo) Neto. Mrs. Cordeiro moved to The United States in 1969, living in California prior to moving here to the New Bedford area.

Her funeral will be Monday, February 9, 2004, from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 9 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Church. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, New Bedford, MA. Family & friends are invited.Visiting Hours will be Sunday, February 8, 2004 from 4 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home
