Silvina Jorge

New Bedford - Silvina Jorge, 94, of New Bedford, died Thursday February 05, 2004, at New Bedford Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Joao Antonio Jorge. Mrs. Jorge was the mother of Maria Emilia Nunes wife of Manuel F. Nunes of New Bedford and Joao Antonio Jorge of Brazil. Mrs. Jorge had three granddaughters Arlene Nunes of Washinngton D.C., Neilde Jorge of Brazil and the late Fatima Jorge and one grandson Jose Jorge Nunes of New Bedford. She also had six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, a niece, three nephews and also had several brothers and sisters who are now deceased.

Mrs. Jorge was born in Pico , Azores, the daughter of the late Jose F. M. and Maria Joaquina Cabral.

Her funeral will be Monday, February 9, 2004, from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Rivet St. New Bedford, MA. Visiting hours will be Sunday, February 8, 2004 from 5 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
