Louis Dagesse

Fall River - Louis J. Dagesse, 73, died January 25, 2004, at St Anne's Hospital in Fall River. He was the husband of Eliza M. Dagesse. He was the father of Dean Dagesse of Tiverton R.I. and Lisa Mailloux of Portsmouth R.I.. He was the grandfather of Lauren , Victoria, & Luke Mailloux and Julia, Camron, & Callie Dagesse. 4 Brothers Jean Dagesse of Negaunee , Mich, Arthur, & Normand Dagesse of Brockton, & Paul Dagesse of Bridgewater.2 surviving sisters Bernadette Constantine of N.B., & Jermaine Houle of Derry, New Hampshire. 1 Deceased sister Claire Bettencourt.

. He was born in New Bedford Ma, son of the late Arthur & Auzelia (Leblanc) Dagesse. He was a resident of Tiverton for 30 Yrs, Upon retirement he moved to Daytona Beach Fla.for 7 Yrs, before moving back to New Bedford. He worked various jobs & was in business for himself, He was a retired member of the Carpenters & Millwright Union # 1121 out of Boston. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 120 in Daytona., the Sakonnett Sportsman Club in Portsmouth R.I. & the V.F.W. Post # 53 in Portsmouth. He served in the Navy aboard the U.S.S. Owen during the Korean War & received the National Defense Service Medal

The funeral Mass will be Thursday January 29, 2004,at St. John the Baptist Church @ 11 A.M.. Family & friends are invited. Burial will be at Rural Cemetery, New Bedford, MA. Visiting Hours will be Wednesday January 28, 2004, from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M..
