Ana A. (Oliveira) Fagundes

New Bedford - Ana A. Fagundes, 85, of New Bedford, died Wednesday, January 28, 2004, at Blaire House. She was the wife of Jose A. Fagundes, formerly of New Bedford. Mrs. Fagundes is survived by her sons, Jose Avelar Fagundes, husband of Ines of N. Dartmouth, Mario Fagundes, husband of Ann of N. Dartmouth, her grandchildren Daniel Fagundes, Stacy Fagundes and Lisa Barton all of N. Dartmouth and a sister Maria Correia of New Bedford, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also the grandmother of the late Mario Fagundes and sister of the late Elvira Dias, Amelia Oliveira and Rufina Vargas.

She was born in Fayal, Azores, the daughter of the late Antonio V. and Maria (Lopes ) Oliveira and lived in this area since 1961. She worked at Justin Clothing as a floor weaver.

Her funeral will be Monday, February 2, 2004, from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 9:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Rivet St., New Bedford, MA.. Visiting hours will be Sunday, February 1, 2004 from 2 - 5 P.M. at the funeral home.
