Manuel Raposo

New Bedford- Manuel Raposo age 77 years died May 14th at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Ana (Raposo) Raposo of New Bedford. He was the loved father of Carlos Raposo of Rehoboth, Jorge Raposo of Acushnet, Teresa Carreiro, Zelia Ambrosio and Ivone Pacheco all of New Bedford, Christine Raposo of Northborough and Elizabete Cordeiro of Palm Coast, FL. He was the beloved grandfather of 10 and great grandfather of 3. Manuel was the brother of Maria dos Anjos Madeira of New Bedford, Lourdes Melo and Jose Raposo both of São Miguel Açores. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Raposo was the son of the late Manuel and Ermelinda (Miguel) Raposo. He was born in São Miguel Açores and has lived in this area since 1985. Manuel was a landscaper until his retirement.

Mr. Raposo’s service will be Tuesday at 10 A.M. from the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. He was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall 740 County St. Visiting hours are Monday from 6-9 P.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery.
