Mary (Medeiros) Cabral

New Bedford – Mary M. Cabral, age 97, died Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Sacred Heart Home. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Joseph “Lefty” Cabral. She was the loved mother of Nancy Jacques of New Bedford. Mary was the sister of Josephine Medeiros of New Bedford. She was the loving grandmother of Doreen DeRego of New Bedford.

Mrs. Cabral was a daughter of Joseph Pedro and Anna Lazarus (Costa) Medeiros. Mary was a lifelong resident. She was a homemaker.

The Family would like to “Thank” the staff at Sacred Heart Home and Beacon Hospice for their exceptional care and kindness extended to Mary.

Mrs. Cabral’s funeral will be on Monday from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 9:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be the morning of, prior to the service. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
