Francisco Ignacio Silva

New Bedford-Francisco Ignacio Silva age 87 years died April 13, 2011 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Maria A. (Goncalves) Silva of New Bedford. He was the loved father of Lucia Medeiros and her husband John of New Bedford. He was the loving grandfather of Elizabeth Cahill and Monica Medeiros and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Silva was the son of the late Carolina A. (Machado) and Francisco Da Silva. He was born in Terceira, Açores and lived in this city since 1980. Mr. Silva was formerly employed as a stone mason in Terceira.

Mr. Silva’ Funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. on Saturday at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday form 5 to 7.
